1.
When Israel went forth to fight,
God said, 'Don't be afraid;
Don't panic or resort to flight,
But look to me for aid.
For I, Jehovah, go before
And lead your martial throng;
So have good courage for the war.
Be valiant, bold and strong!'

2.
The same was true when Jesus sent
The Twelve through all the land.
'Be cautious and yet innocent,'
Christ then did them command.
'Take care your mission to fulfill;
Preach good news, make men whole,
And fear not those who can but kill
The body, not the soul!'

3.
Today as Christian warriors
We boldly face the foe.
In service nothing us deters,
For courage we now show.
We must have knowledge, faith and love,
Fulfill all righteousness,
Be innocent just like a dove;
Then we'll have sure success!
